Therapeutic and Relaxation Massage

"…In an age of technical and, at times, impersonal medicine, massage offers a drug-free, non-invasive and humanistic approach based on the body's natural ability to heal itself…"

Introduction to Kundalini Yoga (as taught by Yogi Bhajan): Welcome!  This class will introduce students to the ancient practice of Kundalini yoga.  Kundalini yoga is yoga for everyday life and every person.  This is an upbeat, dynamic and lively class that will expand your lung capacity, strengthen and tone muscles, calm the mind and nurture a greater sense of self-awareness.  You are not required to be in perfect physical shape or to believe anything in particular to enjoy the benefits of Kundalini yoga.  Kundalini Yoga works for you if you can breathe and move your body. What truly sets Kundalini yoga apart from other forms of yoga is its focus on Pranayama (breathwork).
Each class includes an opening mantra (chant), a meditative warm-up emphasizing the flow of breath and your awareness to it; a physical asana which includes rhythmic movements of the body and the breath; a "Kriya" (specific sequence of exercises designed to bring about a specific metabolic change); a meditation; a resting pose, stretches and a closing mantra.
